The opportunity
A growing consumer business is looking for a commercially minded leader who can connect its marketing activity with the wider work of winning and retaining customers.
The remit combines direction with delivery. You will help set the growth agenda, bring greater focus to the commercial plan and make sure the teams responsible for it work towards the same outcomes.
Your remit
- Turn business ambitions into a practical marketing and commercial plan.
- Connect customer acquisition, sales activity and partnerships around revenue goals.
- Identify where the business should concentrate its effort and investment.
- Build an understanding of customer needs that improves positioning and commercial decisions.
- Work with colleagues across the customer journey to strengthen conversion and customer experience.
- Give leadership a clear view of performance, priorities and the decisions needed.
- Help develop the people, processes and external relationships required for the next stage of growth.
The background we are looking for
You have led marketing or commercial growth in a consumer business and can demonstrate a clear connection between your decisions and business performance.
Experience in a start-up or scale-up matters. You understand how to make progress with a focused team, prioritise competing demands and stay involved in delivery.
You are comfortable working across functions. Your experience may come from a Head of Marketing, Marketing Director, Commercial Director or broader growth leadership position. What matters is the responsibility you have held and the work you can show.
Direct-to-consumer experience and exposure to international growth would be useful.

Location and package
Hybrid working in Oxfordshire, with regular office attendance. Base salary £80,000–£100,000, depending on experience.
