About the role

Good deals start with good discovery. In this Chicago role you will find out what a prospective customer is trying to solve, test whether the product is the right answer, and then own the deal with care until it is agreed.

How you will spend your time

Most of your work sits in two places. The first is understanding the buyer: asking the questions that reveal their priorities and showing, in practical terms, how the product would add value to their business. The second is running the deal properly once that fit is clear. That means managing follow-up, leading the commercial discussion and closing.

Alongside this, you will keep a tidy pipeline with forecasts colleagues can rely on, and pass on what buyers tell you so the wider business can learn from it.

What we would like to see

  • A track record of closing B2B business.
  • Results against targets that you can talk through openly, including deals you lost and what changed afterwards.
  • Discovery that goes beyond a script, and the ability to explain a product in terms of the buyer's outcomes.
  • Software sales experience, which helps but is not essential.

Pay and hybrid working

Base salary with uncapped commission. The role is hybrid, with regular time in the office. SYNC will take you through the package and expectations before any introduction.
